We believe we've got the answer - the ecstatic dance party! Since the idea behind ecstatic dance is more of a movement meditation and fun way to get exercise, and the idea of a party is to have as much fun as possible at any cost, why not strike a balance between these extremes? In other words, let's party and have as much fun as possible, but let's not cause ourselves or anyone else any trouble!
We're aiming for the most fun, highest vibe event possible. We've got one hard and fast rule - NO ALCOHOL. That's right, please leave your beer, wine, whisky or whatever you like to drink at home, come enjoy a tasty nourishing tonic & dance the night away.
ADEM JOEL
Because of Adem's mindful attention to research and detail of Tribal Dance Music, he set the tone for Nu-Skool and Tribal Breakbeat style music in New Mexico, back in the olden days of '99. Adem's DJ sets are so powerful and journey inspiring that he has been graced with the opportunity to share his musical gifts at multiple music festivals in the U.S. such as Arise Festival in Colorado, Firefly Gatherings, The Gem and Jam Festival in Arizona, and Symbiosis Gatherings in Northern California. Since early 2012, Adem and his crew have been hosting the well-known SOUNDS LIKE PRIMAL events in Santa Fe, NM at Meow Wolf and other venues. He has considerable experience with ecstatic dance in addition to playing at clubs and festivals.

PLANEWALKER
Inviting you on a cosmic journey to the higher planes of the musical multiverse, Planewalker (a.k.a. Brennan Murphey) calls on his ancestral Irish and Egyptian roots to infuse his compositions with the ancient tones and rhythms of the druids and the magi. Entering into the world of music as a young child, he was performing on stage with his father Michael Martin Murphey (of Wildfire fame) at the age of 5, performing on the piano at the age of 12 and on the guitar at the age of 13. Completing his first electronic music compostion in 1997 at the age of 17, he is now one of the most prolific psychedelic electronic music producers in the United States and a Celtic harp player of national renown. With over 100 original songs released between his own name and his collaborative projects Chaos Control and Mister Chill’R, Planewalker has also produced official remixes for some of the most respected artists in psychedelic bass music and psychedelic trance including Desert Dwellers, Merkaba, Funky Dragon and Smoke Sign. Moreover, Planewalker has been featured on event lineups with Rabbit in the Moon, Ott, The Polish Ambassador, Phutureprimitive, Desert Dwellers, Kalya Scintilla, Bluetech, Random Rab, Govinda, Bird of Prey and Kaminanda. His debut full-length psy-bass album "Planes of Consciousness" was released in December 2017 by Street Ritual records. He has big plans for 2018 with his label imprint and production company Waveform Wizardry, which hosts the Starseed electronic music events in Taos, NM. He has just recently begin his journey into the ecstatic dance format.

VIC HENNEGAN
Vic Hennegan has been writing, recording, producing and performing electronic music for several years. As a live performer he has performed at such shows as The Gathering Concert Series in Philadelphia, Cyberstock of Los Angeles, Ecstatic Dance, 5 Rhythms Dance, Soul Motion, Northern California Dance Collective and many other venues around the world. With computers, samplers, vocals and synthesizers, Hennegan’s instinctive hand creates techno-trance and ambient music in a wildly fun, uplifting spiritual experience that will take your soul on a journey to the center of ecstasy. Through his faith and his music, Hennegan invokes the timeless tradition of music’s healing powers. He believes that, “We are the creators of our own universe. I seek to help people understand this very fact through my music.”

JULIA DAYE
Julia has been moving dance floors since 2012. Offering an invigorating mix of sounds and rhythms from all over the world, she offers an alchemical experience through embodiment of beat. Mixing music “for the whole community,” Julia offers a uniquely ageless sound, inviting all to take part and move. Since Spring of 2013, Julia has been producing and DJing events of all kinds; private celebrations, festivals, dance clubs, large concert venues, dance/embodiment workshops, and not for profit events. In 2014, Julia created and began DJing and hosting a weekly world music music show for KNCE True Taos Radio in Northern New Mexico. The show, titled “What Are These These Things?” airs live every Tuesday 10 am – 1pm MST both locally and to an national online audience.

ALPACKA SOUND
Andrew Duran (a.k.a. Alpacka Sound) grew up in Miami playing reggae, dancehall and at various night clubs around the city. Having recently moved to Taos, he has been been playing ecstaic dance sets for several months at the High Frequency Loft.
This event takes place at The High Frequency Loft in Taos, New Mexico.
