Handstand Drills Vinyasa
Is a 90 minute practice of breath integration with movement to stretch and tone, while practicing handstand drills to warm up wrists, shoulders, core and get those feet confidently and safely up the wall and explore the energy boosting benefits of being upside down. Integration completed with a Sound Bath Savasana.
Handstands offer a variety of physical, mental, and emotional benefits:
1. **Full-Body Strength**: Handstands engage your entire body, particularly the shoulders, arms, core, and back muscles. This helps build significant upper body and core strength over time.
2. **Improved Balance and Stability**: Practicing handstands enhances your proprioception (body awareness) and balance, which translates to better overall stability in everyday movements.
3. **Increased Core Strength**: Maintaining a stable handstand requires engaging your deep core muscles, improving core strength and stability, which benefits posture and other physical activities.
4. **Enhanced Focus and Mental Clarity**: Handstands require concentration, mindfulness, and mental focus. This can help calm the mind, reduce stress, and improve mental clarity as you stay present in the moment.
5. **Boosted Circulation**: Being upside down increases blood flow to the brain, which can improve mental alertness, promote circulation, and possibly benefit lymphatic drainage.
6. **Improved Flexibility**: The process of working towards a handstand often requires increasing shoulder and hamstring flexibility, benefiting your overall mobility.
7. **Confidence and Overcoming Fear**: Mastering a handstand can boost your self-confidence as it involves overcoming the fear of falling or being inverted, empowering you in both your practice and everyday life.
8. **Enhanced Body Awareness**: Practicing handstands improves your connection to your body, helping you move with more precision and control, not just during inversions but in many other physical activities.
9. **Fun and Playfulness**: Handstands bring a sense of play and exploration to your practice, making your workouts more enjoyable and motivating.
Incorporating handstands into your routine helps develop physical strength, mental focus, and overall body control.

She believes the profundity is in the practice and loves to help students breathe into their strengths and dreams again too.
Mostly, personally, yoga has helped her heal and overcome many physical injuries… broken wrist, forearm, shoulder, neck & jaw and now foot! She has a passion for sharing with others the peace it brings her which surpasses all understanding.
