Sunday Morning Dance NEW TIME

Every SUNDAY Join us for MORNING DANCE NOW AT 10:30 am

facilitated by Myrth Killingsworth and Kevin Clayton with guest DJs and teachers

We dance our way home

Into the mountains of our bones

The snowmelt running rios of our blood

The southwest wind of our breath

The high desert sun of our heat

And the earth-beat of our feet

“Movement is my medicine, my meditation, my metaphor and my method, a living language we can rely upon to tell us the truth about who we are, who we are with, and where we are going.” -Gabrielle Roth

“Shake ‘til you feel better.” -James Brown

A NOTE FROM MYRTH: I moved to Taos fourteen years ago, because a wild-haired, wild-eyed woman named Visudha de Los Santos grabbed me by the elbow and told me I belonged at Sunday morning dance. I couldn’t believe I could belong anywhere, but what I found on the dance floor was not just belonging in my own body but belonging in an incredible community of movers and shakers. This dance is about re-belonging ourselves in our own bodies, in this time and place, and moving and being moved together.

A NOTE FROM KEVIN: Sunday morning dance is a space to reconnect in our own bodies. To move with the many layers of being human. To let go, shake it out, fall apart and find ourselves whole still. To move together in divine inspiration. And to find our way into the mystery.

10:00am -12:00pm every Sunday morning

Substance-free, family-friendly, all bodies welcome

STRUCTURE: Arrival and warmup, verbally guided movement practice/play, opening circle and collective agreements, just dance ~1hr, closing circle
